Your UPS speaks NUT now.

Plenty of UPSes live in a closet, a garage or a cabin, nowhere near a PC. The usual fix is a Raspberry Pi, which is more computer than the job needs and costs more than it should.

My UPS Pal does one thing: it reads your UPS over USB and shares it on your Wi-Fi as a standard NUT server. Anything that already talks to a UPS just works.

How it works

  • Plug your UPS's USB cable into the board and power it from USB-C.
  • Join it to your Wi-Fi from the setup page.
  • Add it to the monitoring you already use.

What you get

  • Works with Home Assistant, Synology, TrueNAS, unraid, Linux upsmon and Prometheus
  • A built-in web page with live battery, runtime, load and power
  • Remote monitoring over Tailscale, privately, with no port forwarding
  • An outage log and long history
  • HTTPS, and a login for anything that changes settings
  • Over-the-air updates that roll back by themselves if an update fails
  • Reconnects after a Wi-Fi drop or a UPS replug
  • Sips power: about 5 V at 0.08 A in normal use
